CONSTITUTION:6,6'-Dihydroxy-3,3,3',3'-tetramethyl-1,1'-spiroindane is crystallized from a phenolic solution of 6,6'-dihydroxy3,3,3',3'-tetramethyl-1,1'-spiroindane and the obtained crude 6,6'-dihydroxy-3,3,3',3'-tetramethyl-1,1'-spiroindane is washed with benzene or the crude 6,6'-dihydroxy-3,3,3',3'-tetramethyl-1,1'- spiroindane SPI is converted to a hydrate and washed with benzene to obtain high-purity 6,6'-dihydroxy-3,3,3',3'-tetramethyl-1,1'-spiroindane. |
