PURPOSE:To provide a camera with a zoom lens which is compact, whose operability is excellent and whose vibration can be reduced at a photographing time. CONSTITUTION:The camera with a zoom lens is constituted of a CPU 1 controlling a component member, a zoom control part 2 driving a zoom lens 3, a finder display part 4 executing the lighting and the flickering of character displays (LED) 4a and 4b provided in a finder, a detection part 5 for the direction of the line of sight detecting which position in the finder is gazed by the eye 6 of a photographer looking in the finder, a part 7 for detecting whether the gazing is continued or not detecting whether the photographer continues the gazing or not and a gazing time measurement part 8 measuring time that the gazing is desired to be continued. |
