<p>PURPOSE:To enhance fixing strength without deteriorating preservability by incorporating vegetable wax and a copolymer contg. a specified quat. ammonium base component as a bonding resin. CONSTITUTION:This toner contains vegetable wax so as to improve its anti- offsetting property and contains a copolymer contg. a quat. ammonium base component represented by the formula as a bonding resin so as to stabilize its electrostatic charge characteristics. In the formula, R1 is H or methyl, R2 is alkylene, each of R3-R5 is alkyl and Ph is phenyl. The copolymer can be produced using a polymerizable monomer, tert. amine, sulfuric ester, alkyl halide, etc., as starting materials and the amt. of the copolymer added is regulated to 4-50wt.% of the total amt. of bonding resins so as to ensure >=100 deg.C melting start temp. for this toner.</p> |
