The present invention relates to an arrangement for remote control of devices equipping a dwelling. The arrangement is characterised in that it comprises control means consisting of a single common device (3), formed by a control unit of the telephone instrument, such as the dial pad, and in that a central device (20) is provided which is linked to each of the said equipment devices (6 to 10, and 14) in order to send them selective control commands and which are capable of communicating with the telephone instrument (3) in order to receive signals representing the control commands from the latter.
