PURPOSE:To obtain heat sensitive recording material, prominent in the reserving and stabilizing property of a recording picture and suitable for high-speed recording material, by a method wherein a heat sensitive color developing layer, containing leuco dye and color developing agent shown by a general formula, is provided on a substrate. CONSTITUTION:Color developing agent, shown by a formula I (R shows hydrocarbon group or the like which can contain saturated or unsaturated dividable chain hydrocarbon group, hydroxide group, ether group and ketone group) and leuco dye are blended and/or mixed into binder solution, such as polyvinyl alcohol and the like, to prepare coating liquid for heat sensitive color developing layer. The coating liquid is spread on a synthetic paper, a plastic film or the like to form a heat sensitive color developing layer after drying and obtain a heat sensitive recording material. Further, an intermediate layer, consisting of the principal constituent of plastic spherical fine hollow particles consisting of a thermosetting resin such as the copolymerized resin and the like having the principal constituents of vinylidene chloride and acrylonitrile, is provided preferably between the substrate and the heat sensitive color developing layer. |
