ALKENE MONOOXYGENASE, GENE ENCODING THE SAME, TRANSFORMED MICROORGANISM AND ALKENE EPOXIDATION

PURPOSE:To provide a novel enzyme which is useful for epoxidation of an alkene. CONSTITUTION:A monooxygenase which contains all or a part of the amino acid sequence of formula I and formula II and adds oxygen to an alkene. The DNA corresponding to the whole gene chain of alkene monooxygenase gene is isolated from Nocardia corallina and the DNA is Escherichia coli intrinsically having no epoxidation ability and the transformed bacterium is cultured to obtain the enzyme.
