<p>PURPOSE:To speedily make a program search even if a signal recorded on a recording medium is encoded and to easily search for necessary music and speech information. CONSTITUTION:Those devices are provided with a read circuit 52 which reads encoded information, encoded including normalization coefficient information together with normalized signal information, out of the recording medium 51 where the encoded information is recorded, and a decoding circuit 53 which decodes the encoded information read out of the recording medium 51. Further, then a detecting circuit 55 detects the head of information of a gathering of signals recorded on the recording medium 51 on the basis of the normalization coefficient information in the encoding information before the decoding.</p> |
