PURPOSE:To obtain a recording medium of sublimation type heat sensitive transfer recording system, which is prominent in forming a recording picture prominent in resistance to darkening and color fading, by a method wherein an image receiving layer, consisting of a resin composite containing a compound shown by a specified general formula, is provided on the surface of a substrate. CONSTITUTION:A color dying resin, such as a compound shown by a formula I (R shows a formula II, R1 shows H, the alkyl group of carbon number 1-4 while R2, R3 show the alkyl groups of carbon number 1-4), methyl cellulose, polyvinyl alcohol and the like, are dissolved into organic solvent to prepare a coating liquid for an image receiving layer. The coating liquid for image receiving layer is spread on the surface of a substrate, such as paper and the like having the principal constituents of a plastic film, and cellulose fiber, to form the image receiving layer after drying whereby a recording medium is obtained. Ultraviolet ray absorbing agent for improving optical resistance and hindered amine optical stabilizing agent can be blended into the image receiving layer. Further, a bonding facilitating layer, a charge preventing layer, a whiteness improving layer or the like can be provided between the image receiving layer and the substrate. |
