PURPOSE:To automatically measure the slot pitch continuously in a production line of leakage coaxial cable, and to perform automatic pitch control thereof if necessary. CONSTITUTION:The moving amount in the running direction of an outer conductor 4 which is formed in a longitudinal manner is detected by a measuring wheel 18 and the number of waved portions of the conductor is counted by a displacement sensor 23. Based on the, slot pitch before the longitudinal formation after the waving work is applied, disorder in the slot pitch upon longitudinal formation can be obtained by computation. With the result, through control of the longitudinal formation speed, the slot pitch can be maintained constantly with accuracy. |
