<p>PURPOSE:To provide a vertical base isolation device, the whole of which can be formed in a compact size, and the height of which can be lowered by fitting a locking prevention device with a simple structure to the base isolation device. CONSTITUTION:An inner cylinder 10 having a built-in damper 11 is provided on the inside of an outer cylinder 12. A lower flange 13 is provided under the inner cylinder 10, and an upper flange 14 is provided at the top of the outer cylinder 12, while an intermediate flange 15 is provided below the upper flange 14. A coil spring 16 is fitted between the lower flange 13 of the inner cylinder 10 and the intermediate flange 15 of the outer cylinder 12. The inner cylinder 10 is supported on a supporting floor 19 through a bearing at the bottom part, and the outer cylinder 12 is supported with the damper 11 in the inside of a top part through a link ball 21. Annular members 24 each provided with a sliding material on the inside and with an elastic material on the outside are fitted to the upper part and the lower part of the annular gap between the outer cylinder 12 and the inner cylinder 10, as a locking prevention device, and a base isolation floor 23 is mounted on the upper flange 14 of the outer cylinder 12.</p> |
