The movement measurement instrument involves an electrical drive unit (40) which produces a periodic transmission change corresp. to the periodic movements of an object (10). This occurs in the optical window (30) between a condition with relatively low transmission and one with relatively high transmission, so that the observed picture of the object periodic movement is frozen. The instrument is further provided with an electronic picture analysing component, which is arranged that via the optical window it receives pictures of the object periodic movement and an indication when freezing of the picture occurs. The instrument, with the aid of the picture analysis component output signal, itself searches out and locks onto the transmission change frequencies at which the periodic movement is frozen. |
