SLAG REMOVING DEVICE FOR HEARTH HARDWARE OF VERTICAL HEATING FURNACE

PURPOSE:To prevent a steel piece from falling by a slag which is adhered and accumulated on a hearth hardware of a vertical heating furnace, and prevent the furnace wall from being damaged by a swelling of the slag. CONSTITUTION:A slag deposit which is adhered to a hearth hardware 2 being provided on the top of an elevating beam 3 is struck down by hammers. A hammer head which is held by an expanding-retracting mechanism to astride the hearth hardware 2 is rotated by using a rotate-driving device 7. The slag which is adhered and accumulated on the upper surface and side surfaces of the hearth hardware 2 is struck down by a hammer for the upper surface and hammer 63 for the side surface of the hammer head. Since the upper surface of the hearth hardware 2 is flat, a steel piece can be prevented from falling down.
