PURPOSE:To produce a synthetic fiber capable of improving adhesion to rubber without causing adhesion trouble at a treatment with resorcinol-formalin latex adhesive (RFL) solution at a low temperature by applying a composition consisting of a trialiphatic acid ester having a specific component and a reactional product of an alkylene oxide adduct of a specific component with a dibasic acid onto a fiber. CONSTITUTION:The objective fiber having low occurrence of naps and yarn breakage, etc., on a yarn manufacturing process is obtained by making to adhere a lubricant composition having trialiphatic acid ester of trimethylol alkane of the formula [RCOO is mixture of A1 and A2 at ratio of A1/A2=1/9 to 7/3 (weight ratio) (A1 is <=20C aliphatic acid residue having unsaturated bond of <=1; A2 is 8-18C aliphatic acid residue having unsaturated bond of <=1); (n) is 0, 1] as a main component and 5-30wt.% of the reactional product of a glyceride adduct having >=1 of hydroxyl group in a molecule with a dibasic acid (preferably, e.g. oleic acid or stearic acid) on a synthetic fiber, especially polyamide fiber, in an amount of 0.3-3wt.% based on the weight of fiber. Thus, treated fiber has excellent wetting at a low temperature on the application of RFL solution, excellent in adhesion and retention of strength and suitable as a rubber reinforcing synthetic fiber. |
