RESISTANCE WELDING METHOD FOR LOW ELECTRIC RESISTANT METALLIC MEMBERS

PURPOSE:To prolong the service life of an anode electrode tip in performing spot welding on two Al-base rolled sheets by using a DC power source. CONSTITUTION:An Al-base rolled sheet 11 located at the anode electrode tip 3 side which is subjected to oxide film removing processing on the whole of both sides of the anode and cathode electrode tip 3 and 4 sides is used. An Al-base rolled sheet 12 having oxide films 2 is arranged at the cathode electrode tip 4 side. Consequently, since a fused part which is made into a nugget 8 is suppressed from being formed with inclination toward the anode electrode tip 3 side, the service life of the anode electrode tip 3 can be prolonged.
