This joining piece (2) for an assembly for constructing objects starting from a plurality of modules (1) which can be joined together, is characterised in that it exhibits a quadrangular overall shape, the outside dimensions of which correspond to those of the faces opposite the modules to be connected, and the sides of which include at least one part (7) forming a notch situated on either side of parts (8) forming projections, defining the said outside dimensions, these notches and these projections extending parallel to the said faces of the modules and the longitudinal dimensions x and y of the notches and of the projections being chosen so that the linear alternation of notches and projections of the linking piece and of any other similar adjacent linking piece which might be arranged in alignment with it is a linear alternation of constant pitch x + y capable of receiving, in the projections, a part forming a tab of an accessory joined onto the said assembly. <IMAGE>
