PURPOSE:To provide a fuel cell having excellent output characteristics by mixing a catalyst carrying conductive material, a water repellent agent and a proton conductive material together, and forming a catalyst layer of obtained mixture. CONSTITUTION:A catalyst layer is formed by mixing a catalyst carrying conductive material, a water repellent agent and a proton conductive material together at a specific rate, and in the result the proton conductive material exists through all the area containing the thickness direction of the catalyst layer. As for weight % of the three parties of the catalyst carrying conductive material, the water repellent agent and the proton conductive material in the catalyst layer, the conductive material is 0.400-0.995, and the water replellent agent is 0-0.550, and the proton conductive material is 0.005-0.080. When this specific mixing rate is not satisfied, an expected effect cannot be attained. |
