发明名称 LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY DEVICE
摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain a display of high quality which generate no moire fringe when dots of pixels are eliminated by arranging an optical low-pass filter so that its grafting direction slants to the array direction of pixels of a liquid crystal display element. CONSTITUTION:A diffraction grating is so designed as to obtain optimum separation width between pixels when the grating direction 2 is set parallel to the array direction 1 of the pixels of the liquid crystal display element, but when the array direction 1 of the pixels and the grating direction 2 are set to parallel, cycles of the array of the pixels and cycles of diffraction gratings interfere with each other, so that moire fringes are confirmed. For the purpose, the grating direction 2 of the diffraction gratings is slanted at an angle theta to the array direction 1 of the pixels of the liquid crystal display element. The liquid crystal display device which is thus obtained eliminates dots of vertical and horizontal pixels by the separation of the pixels by the diffraction gratings as original designed, thereby making the display where the moire fringes due to the interference between the vertical and horizontal array cycles of the pixels and the horizontal and vertical cycles of the diffraction gratings do not appear.
