PURPOSE:To obtain the subject high-purity compound. CONSTITUTION:Phenol is removed from an adduct of phenol to 6,6'- dihydroxy-3,3,3',3'-tetramethyl-1,1'-spirobiindane to obtain high-purity 6,6'- dihydroxy-3,3,3',3'-tetramethyl-1,1'-spirobiindane. Further, a hydrate of 6,6'- dihydroxy-3,3,3',3'-tetramethyl-1,1'-spirobiindane is washed with an organic solvent to obtain an ultra-high-purity 6,6'-dihydroxy-3,3,3',3'-tetramethyl-1,1'- spirobiindane. |
