<p>PURPOSE:To provide an ignition coil for an internal-combustion engine in which assembly is facilitated through downsizing and a module incorporating a switching means is protected. CONSTITUTION:A booster transformer 14 equipped with a terminal plate 15 having connection terminals 161, 162 projecting from the side face is inserted into a coil case 12 opening upward and resin is poured into the case 12 by such quantity as a transformer 14 is embedded. A module 19 incorporating a switching means is disposed oppositely to the opening of the case 12. The module 19 is provided with legs 221, 222 for guiding the module into the coil case 12 and connecting terminals 201, 202 to be meshed with the terminals 161, 162. Upon mounting the module 19, the legs 221, 222 are embedded into the resin 17 thus connecting the terminals 161, 162 with the terminals 201, 202. Subsequently, the poured resin is thermally set.</p> |
