PURPOSE:To expedite operation responsive speed at the time of phase change by providing an intermediate bevel gear, an output bevel gear, a phase adjusting bevel gar, and a worm wheel connected to the phase adjusting bevel gear, and by giving the rotation moment for changing the rotational phase of the output shaft side to a worm. CONSTITUTION:A device is provided with an intermediate bevel gear 12c rotatively supported on a bevel gear case 12a, an output bevel gear 12b connected to an output shaft 11 and meshed with the bevel gear 12c, and a rotativery set phase adjusting bevel gear 12d meshed with the bevel gear 12c. A worm wheel 15 connected to the bevel gear 12d. a worm 16 meshed with the worm wheel 15, and a rotation driving means 17 giving the rotation moment to the worm 16 to change the rotational phase on the side of the output shaft 11 are also provided. When the rotational phase is not changed, the rotation moment is transmitted from a driving shaft 10 to the output shaft 11 through the case 12a and the bevel gears 12c, 12b. When the rotational phase is to be changed, rotation is given to the worm 16 through the rotation driving means 17. The rotation is thereby transmitted to the output shaft through the worm wheel 15 and the bevel gears 12d, 12c, and the rotational phase can be changed.
