Method of adhesively bonding a housing with a preshaped sheathing of plastic with the aid of an adhesive film based on reactive adhesives. The adhesive film cutout according to the contour and any openings of the planar sheathing and laid at least substantially congruently on the latter is fixed to the sheathing with the aid of a heating device being spaced-apart using heating punches, heating strips or the like, in that the heating punches, heating strips or the like pressing against the adhesive film bond the latter to the sheathing simultaneously at a plurality of discrete points, lines or the like. Subsequently, the sheathing is adhesively bonded to the housing. The fixing of the adhesive film achieves the effect that the latter does not slip when wrapping the sheathing around the housing.
