The invention relates to apparatuses for the controlled air-conditioning of work zones in production machines which process hygroscopically sensitive materials and which allow optimum running properties in a narrow temperature and atmospheric-moisture range only. The apparatuses can produce in an individually adjustable manner different air states at specific distances from the air outlet. In contrast to known processes for mixed air-conditioning which require two separate air-conditioning systems for room air and process air, only one incoming-air system for a multiplicity of machines is required in the apparatuses according to the invention. This is achieved by means of appropriately dimensioned blow-out surfaces and blow-out slits which, by means of controlled flaps, allow a variable setting, that is to say, on each individual machine, different temperatures and relative atmospheric moistures can be set within the scope of the physical possibilities. A further advantage is the considerable saving of energy, because, as a result of the controlled blow-in, smaller volume flows are required and, with additional suction-extraction with the recording of the process heat, the room-cooling load and therefore the volume flow required can be further reduced. The apparatuses can be used for producing extremely moist and for producing extremely dry air states in the work zone of the machines. Areas of use are, hitherto, textile machines and ...
