摘要 A piston compressor is described which has pistons which are arranged in bores of a cylinder block and are moved back and forth by a drive mechanism in interaction with a drive shaft. A valve accommodation chamber is formed in the cylinder block around the drive shaft, in order to accommodate a turning valve which corotates with the drive shaft. The turning valve has an intake duct formed therein, to duct gases from a gas intake chamber to a compression chamber formed in each bore. A multiplicity of connection ducts is formed in the cylinder block, assigned to the compression chambers, to provide a gas connection between the compression chambers and the intake duct of the valve. A bypass duct is formed on the turning valve and permits a connection duct assigned to one of the compression chambers, which is in the final stage of a compression stroke, to communicate with a different connection duct which is assigned to a different compression chamber which is in the initial stage of the compression stroke. The compressor further comprises a device which is provided on an external surface of each piston, for collecting gas which leaks in the axial direction along the outer surface of the piston.
