The aim of the invention was to design a slewing crane in such a way that the slewing arm (2) of the slewing crane is mounted on the column (1) of the slewing crane in such a way as to be horizontally slewable through 360 DEG , that the lifting mechanism (3) of the slewing arm (2) can be traversed close up to the column (1), and that the proportion of components to be mechanically treated for the mounting of the slewing arm (2) on the column (1) is reduced to a minimum. According to the invention, this object is achieved in that a disc (4) forming the top termination of the column (1) and having a larger diameter than the column (1) is provided for the pivot mounting on the column (1), and at least one bearing (5) resting against the disc (4) from below is provided on the end of the slewing arm (2) carried on the column (1), and furthermore at least one supporting bearing (6) supported on the disc (4) from above is provided on the slewing arm (2). <IMAGE>
