The invention relates to a mobile joint cutter having a machine frame on which front and rear wheels are arranged, having a cutting device which is pivotable on the machine frame about an axis of rotation pointing in the longitudinal direction of the joint cutter and on which a saw blade is arranged to be lowerable by a drive motor. In order to reduce the risk of twisting and tilting of the cutting device, for each pivoting direction a separate axis of rotation (36) and (38) respectively is provided, the axes of rotation each being arranged, in the pivoting direction, laterally offset from the median plane. <IMAGE>
