An anti-theft device for a motorised vehicle has a code detector and comparison device (55, 57) for a coded enabling signal, which device outputs a first output signal, e.g. logic 1, when there is correspondence with a predetermined code and outputs a second output signal, for example 0, when there is non-correspondence. These signals can be referred to a control device (55) which is connected to a current source (50). By means of this control device (61) an operating component (51) of the vehicle, preferably a plurality thereof, in particular three, can be disabled or enabled with the aid of at least one actuation device (62-64) as a function of the signal which is output by the code detector device (55, 57).
