Stacks (7) of die-cut blanks (4), each partly enveloped by a respective wrapping paper (16), are fed to a packaging machine (1, not shown) automatically by means of a device (6) comprising a conveyor (8), a pivoted platform (17) onto which the stacks are directed from the conveyor, and a transfer mechanism (32) by which the stacks (7) are redirected in succession from the platform to a hopper serving the machine (1); a blade (33) associated with the transfer mechanism (32) traverses across one face of the stack (7) to cut the wrapping paper (16), which is removed and discarded by a suction cup (27). Thereafter the platform is raised to 45 degrees and the transfer mechanism makes a second traverse in the opposite direction, distancing the stack from the platform (17) and feeding it to the machine hopper. <IMAGE>
