The invention relates to a vapour barrier on insulating cladding in rooms, in particular in swimming baths, comprising insulating boards arranged next to one another with aluminium foil laminated onto them on the room side as a vapour barrier, the joint of which between neighbouring insulating boards is bridged in a vapour-tight manner by an adhesively attached aluminium strip. Until now, expert attachment of the aluminium strip took place in a number of operations, which had to be executed not only with precision craftsmanship but also with precision timing in order to obtain faultless adhesive bonding and consequently a vapour barrier which is impervious throughout.
