<p>PURPOSE:To improve pulverizing roperty and yield of the production, to enable low temp. fixing, and to increase the fixing range by incorporating, as the main component, graft copolymers produced by chemical bonding of a specified silicone oil having terminal reactivity and vinyl polymers. CONSTITUTION:The toner essentially consists of graft copolymers obtd. by chemical bonding of a reactive terminal silicone oil and vinyl polymers having functional groups which can be chemically bonded with the silicone oil. The reactive silicone oil is expressed by formula and has reactivity at molecular ends and 50000-20000 number average mol.wt. The mol.wt. distribution of the vinyl polymers shows two or more peaks. In formula, R1 is a hydroxyl group, amino group, carboxyl group, epoxy group, etc., and may be bonded with alkylene chains of 1-6 carbon number. R2 is same as R1 (to produce a both-end reactive type) of a methyl group (one-end reactive type). The graft copolymer consists of vinyl polymers as the main chain and the silicone as branches.</p> |
