The cheese round (4) is placed on a cushion (5) and an apportioning tool (7) with cutting component is drawn through the cheese until it contacts the cushion. A dividing component (18) is pushed through the cheese at right-angles to the movement direction of the apportioning tool. The dividing component comprises a cutting wire, which is movable through the cheese whilst the latter is locked in position by the apportioning tool, which is partly drawn into the cheese. |
