PURPOSE:To provide the phase detection circuit whose hardware quantity is not extremely increased even when phase detection accuracy is improved. CONSTITUTION:The phase detection circuit used for a detection circuit of a phase modulation signal and converting the modulation signal into phase data is characterized in that it is provided with a phase difference detection section (5) generating a pulse width of a phase difference portion between a modulation signal (2) and a reference signal (1), a phase difference measurement section (6) quantizing the phase difference and a phase data control section (7) generating valid phase data at each prescribed timing time. The phase difference measurement section executes quantization by counting a pulse width by a reference clock. |
