<p>PURPOSE:To prevent a high definition still picture from being decided as a moving image accidentally. CONSTITUTION:The presence/absence of motion can be decided by finding the inter-field differential value of an input image signal by a delay line 2 and a subtractor 3 based on a signal communicated with a horizontal low-pass filter 9, finding the absolute value sum of the differential values by an absolute value circuit 4, an adder 5, and a delay line 6, and comparing the absolute value sum with a threshold value at a motion decision circuit 7. Thereby, it is possible to suppress a frequency component unrequired for motion decision by the horizontal low-pass filter 9 and to prevent erroneous decision from being performed.</p> |
