PURPOSE:To enable a driver to easily obtain traffic information between the present position and the destination of a drivers own vehicle in accordance with the destination by reading out the telephone number of an information presentation destination from a storage means to automatically dial it and receiving traffic information to display it. CONSTITUTION:When the destination is selected, it is discriminated whether a set switch 8 is turned on or not. If it is not turned on, this discrimination is repeated until it is turned on; and when it is turned on, the telephone number of an information presentation destination 9 in the vicinity of the present position of a vehicle by a position detecting means is read out from a storage means 4 by a control means 7. The telephone number is automatically dialed to call the pertinent information presentation destination 9, and a telephone line 10 is connected, and then, data of both the present position of the vehicle and the set destination are transmitted to the information presentation destination 9 by the control means 7. Already gathered traffic information between the present position and the destination is transmitted in accordance with transmitted data and is received through a telephone set 1 and a MODEM 3. |
