PURPOSE:To reduce the load on a CPU and prevent a musical performance from being delayed and to suppress a waste of a pattern memory by reading accompaniment information corresponding to a group of the kinds of chords, decided by a group deciding means, selectively by using discrimination informa tion. CONSTITUTION:A chord kind detecting means M1 detects a chord kind on the basis of a keying state and the group deciding means M3 decides which of plural chord kind groups the chord kind belongs to. Then an accompaniment information read means M4 reads the accompaniment information corresponding to the decided chord kind group selectively by using the discrimination information from an accompaniment information storage means M2. Consequently, the memory for reading the accompaniment information is reducible. Further, only one pointer is required for accompaniment information detection and even if the keying state changes, the need for a jump to another track is eliminated unlike before. |
