<p>PURPOSE:To reduce the power consumption of a microcomputer and to improve the processing efficiency of the microcomputer by automating the communication of the microcomputer with no program control of the microcomputer. CONSTITUTION:The data buffers 54 and 55 are connected to the address and data buses led from a central processor via the bus interfaces 52 and 53, respectively. A serial input/output part 60 with a transmitting/receiving function to be connected to a transmission line. Then, a data buffer pointer 61 outputs the bus connection switching signals to the interfaces 52 and 53 and the serial input/output interfaces 56 and 57, respectively and, at the same time, designates the read/write addresses of both buffers 54 and 55 to output the transmitted/ received data stored in one of both buffers 54 and 55 to the part 60 or the data bus while the received data are written in the other specific data buffer. In such a constitution, both buffers 54 and 55 output the interruption signals to each other when they complete the reception or transmission of data.</p> |
