PURPOSE:To enable an electromagnet possessing a coil structure where a tape conductor is wound to keep uniform magnetic field distribution in an axial direction by a method wherein adjacent tape conductors are wound partially overlapping and deviating from each other in the axial direction of the coil. CONSTITUTION:A tape conductor is wound around an axis making each turn of tape conductor partially overlap and deviate from its preceding turn of tape conductor in the axial direction. It is not necessary that each turn of tape conductor deviates from its preceding turn in the same direction from the axis toward its periphery, and each turn may deviates from its preceding turn either upward or downward. Or, each turn of conductor tape may not deviate from its preceding turn partially. When coils of the same deviation structure are laminated, the coils are laminated in the axial direction partially overlapping each other in a top view, and the conductive paths of the laminated coils are connected in series. A tape conductor wherein the ratio of width to thickness is 100:1 or above is used. By this setup, a magnetic field uniform in a wide range in an axial direction can be generated. |
