PURPOSE:To provide a run length data magnification device in which a segmented picture with high quality close to a contour of a partial picture to be segmented is obtained in a short time. CONSTITUTION:The processing is made up of a step Sr8 in which a link element with a duplicate run length element included in adjacent lines of run length data is detected, a step Sr2 in which a consecutive component whose run length element is equal consecutively over plural lines is detected, a step Sr3 in which a very small displacement consecutive component in a relation of a very small displacement with a run length element of an adjacent line is detected, a step Sr5 in which a run length element of each line is magnified in an extension direction of a line in response to the designated magnification, a step Sr6 spreading the magnified very small displacement to each run length element forming the very small displacement consecutive component and a step Sr10 in which a new line is interpolated between run length elements forming the link element and spreading differences between run length elements forming the magnified link element in the steps Sr5, Sr6 into run length elements of each line to be interpolated. |
