PURPOSE:To prevent position deviation of a picture in the main scanning direction of a laser beam, that is, in the broadwise direction of paper in the image forming device in which an image (in general, toner image) is formed based on the light subject to laser scanning and the image is transferred onto paper supplied from a paper feed section. CONSTITUTION:A test pattern including a center line 62 and paper feed marks m1, m2 is stored in the image forming device and the test pattern is printed on paper supplied from a paper feed section, and they are compared. An output timing of a laser scanning light is corrected so as to correct a deviation of the center line 62 of the test pattern from center lines 62'', 62''' of a picture (test picture) on paper and the paper feed marks m1, m2 are discriminated and the timing is corrected for each paper feed section. |
