摘要 PURPOSE:To reduce the cost and enhance the reliability of an optical fiber designed to transmit the light from fluorescent fibers installed near a discharging part and serving as optical sensors to monitor the operation of an arrestor on a steel tower by shortening the optical fiber. CONSTITUTION:Fluorescent fibers 20a, 20b, 20m installed as optical sensors on two or more discharging parts 31a, 31b,...,31m are connected in series through optical fibers 1a, 1b,...,1m to constitute one photodetective fiber 100, at an end of which a photodetector 10 is provided. When discharge at one of the discharging parts 31a, 31b,...,31m occurs to generate fluorescent light in the fluorescent fibers 20a, 20b,...,20m, the fluorescent light is propagated inside the photodetective fiber 100 to the optical detector 10 to be detected.
