COLOR CORRECTION METHOD BETWEEN PICTURES REPRODUCED BY PLURAL PICTURE OUTPUT DEVICES

PURPOSE:To make a color of an output picture coincident with a color of a reference picture especially by with respect to the color correction method of a digital picture processing unit processed by a computer. CONSTITUTION:The picture output device having a 1st picture output device outputting a reference picture 4 and a 2nd picture output device reproducing the reference picture is provided with a reference picture colorimeter section 5 measuring a color of the reference picture, an output picture colorimeter section 7 measuring a color of a picture from the 2nd picture output device, and a color conversion function generating section 8 obtaining both the 1st color value for the output picture of the 1st picture output device and the 2nd color value for the output picture of the 2nd picture output device and obtains in advance a color value an of output picture of the 1st picture output device and a color value of an output picture of the 2nd picture output device and obtains display system data by the 2nd color the same as or similar to the 1st color value of the reference picture when the reference picture is reproduced by the 2nd picture output device to control the 2nd picture output device based on the data.
