PURPOSE:To provide the image filing device which can store many images with a small storage capacity by selecting image data corresponding to part of an image displayed on a display means through a selecting means. CONSTITUTION:A necessary part in a screen 1 is specified. Namely, a mouse cursor is moved to a desired position P1 on the screen, the switch of the mouse is pressed, and moved to a position P2 with the switch of the mouse kept ON and a rectangular figure is drawn on the screen when the switch is released, thereby specifying the range to be cut. The range to be cut on the screen 1 is copied to a screen 2 by a specified method. Then a menu is selected and the image copied to the screen 2 is edited by enlargement (1), rotation (2), movement (3), etc. Further, a next image is displayed on the screen 1 and the specification of a cut range, the copying of the image in the range, and the editing of the copied image are repeated to edit the image. Thus, only a necessary part is stored to efficiently use the storage capacity. |
