PURPOSE:To provide a lighting apparatus for an annular type fluorescent lamp capable of making a shade being hung from a hanging cord be mountable/ demountable downward to the apparatus main body. CONSTITUTION:Gaps 15 at given intervals A are formed in the peripheral direction of the upper part peripheral edge part 14 of an apparatus main body 1 hung from a ceiling surface H to extend plural placing parts 13 in a outer side direction. A shade 3 covering the apparatus main body 1 is provided with an opening part 32 having an diameter expanded upward than that of the apparatus main body 1 and smaller than the outer diameter of an annular type fluorescent lamp 5 to be fitted to the apparatus main body 1 to be placed on the placing parts 13 are integrally extended in an inner side direction from the peripheral edge of the opening 32, and an insertion opening having a diameter wider than the outer diameter of the apparatus main body is formed by the tip parts 32a of the supporting parts 33. Individual supporting parts 33 are extended at peripheral width smaller than the gap 15 formed by the placing parts 33. The shade 3 can be demounted downward in a condition where the shade 3 is hung by demounting a lamp holder 4 from the apparatus main body 1 to insert the supporting parts 33 downward from the gaps 15.
