发明名称 MANUFACTURE OF HYDROGEN STORAGE ALLOY POLE FOR BATTERY
摘要 PURPOSE:To provide a long life while improving an initial characteristic and a quick charge characteristic by performing prescribed alkali treatment of hydrogen storage alloy powder, thereafter applying fluororesin to the surface to form an electrode. CONSTITUTION:Hydrogen storage alloy powder is immersed in an alkali solution of prescribed temperature to remove impurities, sintered, packed and pressurized to a porous unit with a binding agent, to obtain an electrode. Next by immersing the electrode in an alkali solution of 95 to 120 deg.C to perform alkali treatment under a severe condition, surface improving is performed to obtain a hydrogen storage alloy pole 1 wound with a nickel positive pole 2 and a separator 3, to form a battery. Thus by eliminating dissolving and depositing a soluble metal at charge/discharge time, life extension, initial characteristic and a gas absorbing characteristic can be improved. Further by applying water repellent resin powder to a surface, the gas absorbing characteristic can be improved by a synergetic process with the alkali treatment.
