PURPOSE: To provide a small and highly precision surface mounting inductor and to determine a pattern required for obtaining a desirable inductance easily with no trial and error. CONSTITUTION: Parallel planar spiral inductive patterns 12, 18 are arranged above a rectangular board 11. Outermost conductive traces 13, 20 on respective patterns 12, 18 are brought into contact with connecting parts 23, 24 at the opposite ends of a device. The connecting part 23, 24 is formed in U-shape and has a leg part L spreading over the upper and lower surfaces of the device. The leg part L is related with the outermost conductive trace 13, 20 and terminates at a position matching the innermost part thereof. Since the inductance is a function only of the position and interval of an inductive element forming the inductance itself, it is not influenced by an external inductance derived from interaction between a wiring path and a joint which is common to an inductive device of prior art. |
