PURPOSE:To provide a luminaire in which irradiation efficiency is improved. CONSTITUTION:A lamp body 1 of a street lamp, a floodlight and the like is formed into a hollow box-shape, and a reflector housing part and a luminaire housing part are formed on one side and the other side of the lamp body 1 respectively. A lighting system 11 is arranged in the reflector housing part while facing an equipment opening 4. The lighting system 11, in a condition where electrodeless lamps 14 are optically faced, is contained in a reflecting body 13, in which an irradiation opening 12 is formed on a lower surface and a reflecting surface is formed on an inner surface. The electrodeless lamp 14 is inserted into the insertion hole of an exciting coil part 16, the center axes of the insertion hole and the electrodeless lamp 14 are made to coincide each other, and the opening surface of the irradiation opening 12 and the center axis of the insertion hole are made parallel. A capacitor part 18 is arranged so as to be in parallel to the radiation direction of irradiation light from the electrodeless lamp 14 and be in vertical to the opening surface of the irradiation opening 12. Since the exciting coil part 16 and the capacitor part 18 are arranged so that the area of them seen from the electrodeless lamp 14 can become narrowest, a part to be shaded becomes small to perform effective irradiation. |
