PURPOSE:To improve the reliability on operation by so arranging the constitution as not to hinder the support or the recovery operation of an extension pin by the chips accompanying the cutting and bending of a lead wire. CONSTITUTION:This cutter and bender is equipped with a fixed edge 22, a mobile edge 23, which cuts and bends the lead wire 1A of an electronic component 1 together with the fixed edge 22, a holder 24 for reception of an extension pin, which has a support hole 27 for receiving the extension pin 3 added to the lead wire 1A, and a changeover valve 31, which opens and closes the extension pin recovery passage 30 leading to the support hole 27. And the holder 24 has a function of supporting the extension pin 3 inserted into the support hole 27 with the pressure air going to the top opening of the support hole 27, in the condition that the changeover valve 31 closes the extension pin recovery passage 30, and a function of blowing out feeble pressure air for prevention of chip penetration from the top opening of the support hole, in the condition that the extension pin 3 has fallen deep into the support hole 27. |
