<p>PURPOSE:To use information of an auxiliary storage device in one PPM at another PPM by installing more than two personal processor modules(PPM) in a docking station and accessing the auxiliary storage device of the other PPM from one PPM. CONSTITUTION:When plural PPMs 1 are connected to the decking station (DS) 2, CPU 12A of PPM 1A starts an operation after power is supplied. An initialized program stored in ROM 15A is executed. The initialized program scans all devices connected on a local bus 18. An HDD control circuit 16B in local bus PPM 1B is recognized as one slave of the local bus. Thus, the HDD control circuit 16B becomes an object in an automatic configuration, and it is set that plural devices are not allocated to the same I/O address. Thus, data can be transferred between the auxiliary storage devices of plural PPM 1A and 1B.</p> |
