FLASH MEMORY CARD WITH OPERABLE/IN-USE MASK REGISTER AND OPERABLE/IN-USE MODE REGISTER

PURPOSE: To provide a flash memory card having a ready/active mask register. CONSTITUTION: The first and second flash memories of a flash memory card have first and second outputs which respectively indicate the ready or active statuses to the first and second memories. A ready/active mask register contains mask data. Logic generates the ready/active output of a flash memory card 100 by performing logical operation between (1) the first and second outputs and (2) mask data. The card 110 has a circuit which outputs a ready signal indicating the first-in time shift to a ready mode from an active mode by means of its first or second flash memory.
