PURPOSE:To easily display all equivalents to a specific word and change an equivalent to be used. CONSTITUTION:An equivalent display control part 11 retrieves the equivalents to the specific English word specified on a keyboard on a keyboard 1 from all dictionaries 15, 16, and 17 where the specific English word is registered and, altogether, displayes it in a display part 7. An equivalent change part 12 selects the equivalent to be used which is specified on the keyboard 1 and changes the equivalent to the specific English word in a Japanese translation obtained by a translating process part 5 into the equivalent to bee used. A dictionary symbol addition part 13 adds the dictionary symbol indicating the dictionary where the equivalent to be used is registered to the specific English word in the original text registered in a document file 6. Thereafter, the translating processing part 5 consults with the dictionary, that the dictionary symbol indicates, when there is the English word to which the dictionary symbol is added in an input document to obtain the equivalent to the English word. Consequently, all registered equivalents to the specific word can easily be displayed and the equivalent to be used can easily be changed. |
