PURPOSE:To provide an ultrasonic flaw detecting method by which high flaw detection accuracy can be obtained without making the flaw detecting time longer. CONSTITUTION:An ultrasonic probe 18 performs flaw detecting operation on the weld between members 12 and 13 while the probe 18 intermittently moves from an initial position P11 to other positions P12, P22, P21,.... Probing areas S1-S6 are respectively set on the routes L1-L6 of ultrasonic waves. The divided areas B1-B6 of the weld Wb are superimposed upon the areas S1-S6 as the probe 18 moves. The lengths of the routes L1-L6 are fixed and the probe 18 is moved so that the lengths of the routes L1-L6 can become constant. |
